Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Tayler comes from a family with a musical background, growing up with an eclectic taste in music to fuel per passion for the arts. As a child, Tayler was NEVER shy. She started singing at a young age, following in the footsteps of her mom who is also a singer. She would often put on shows and perform songs she made up on her own for family and friends. Tayler's interest in theatre started in elementary school and continued through middle as she began to become involved with a program outside of school to further her growing passion for theatre. By the time she started high school, she was heavily involved with her school's string orchestra (playing the violin), theatre program, choir, sang as a soloist with the jazz band, and also was a member of her school district's Honor Choir and Orchestra. She moved across the country to North Carolina, starting college at the University of South Carolina Lancaster, to further her studies in performing arts and took the opportunity to study abroad in Spoleto, Italy through La Mama Experimental Theatre Club where she gained a lot of experience with experimental and devised theatre work. In Fall of 2015, Tayler transferred to Western Carolina University to further her studies towards Musical Theater and added on a minor of dance. She felt like she had found a great connection to home in the Smoky Mountains, as it reminded her of where she grew up back in the Pacific Northwest. During her time at WCU, Tayler has had the opportunity to take class and work alongside many industry professionals and is truly grateful for her time spent in the mountains as she gets ready to graduate in December 2018. With her free time, Tayler loves to spend time outdoors, exercise, travel, cook, write songs and produce music. Tayler now lives in New York City and is currently signed with The Price Group Agency! |
